COSMOS PRESS provides hydraulic presses and automated production solutions for brake pads, backing plates, steering components, cold-extruded shafts and other automotive parts. Each solution is configured around the part, material and forming process—from pressure and motion control to tooling, cycle time and automation. The goal is simple: stable forming, repeatable quality and a production process that works reliably from batch to batch.
Different automotive parts depend on different process variables. For brake pad production, selected COSMOS PRESS lines achieve pressure control within ±1.5 bar and temperature control within ±5°C, helping maintain stable curing conditions from cycle to cycle.
Brake pads, backing plates and cold-extruded shafts require different hydraulic press behavior. Force, stroke, speed, tooling and working area are configured around the actual forming process rather than simply selected by press tonnage.
We can integrate weighing, feeding, transfer, hot pressing, mold cleaning and part handling into one production flow. In automated brake pad production, one operator can manage up to eight presses, reducing manual handling between processes.
Stable hydraulic motion and position control help reduce variation during long production runs. Our backing plate solution achieves positioning repeatability of ±0.02 mm, supporting consistent forming across batches.
Recipe-based control makes it easier to run different part numbers on the same production line. A brake pad production solution can support two recipes and up to eight models in parallel, improving flexibility for mixed-model production.
Automotive parts may share the same production floor, but their forming requirements can be very different.
Brake pads depend on controlled material dosing, pressure, temperature and curing time. Backing plates require stable forming and accurate positioning. Cold-extruded shafts place high loads on the press and tooling, while steering and other precision components require repeatable forming conditions across large production batches.
COSMOS PRESS starts with the part and process before selecting the press. We review the material, forming steps, required force, tooling, cycle time, output target and automation needs, then configure the equipment around the production requirement.
